The Bombay High Court has decided to quash Maharashtra’s government proposal of conducting the Maharashtra FYJC CET 2021 exam scheduled on August 21. It has directed the state to complete the Class 11th admission process in six weeks based on the scores obtained in the Maharashtra SSC result 2021. The government had rolled out Maharashtra First Year Junior College (FYJC) CET 2021 for Class 11th admissions because the Maharashtra SSC exams were cancelled. The board has prepared the Maharashtra 10th result based on the alternative evaluation criteria and internal assessment. Earlier, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has started accepting applications for the Maharashtra First Year Junior College (FYJC) Common Entrance Test (CET) 2021 exam process. The MSBSHSE has informed that the students can register online for Maharashtra FYJC CET 2021 till August 2, 2021. The Maharashtra FYJC CET 2021 exam was scheduled to be held on August 21. Students need to register online for Maharashtra FYJC CET 2021 exam on the official portal – www.cet.mh-ssc.ac.in. The Board has declared the Maharashtra SSC result 2021 on July 16. What is Maharashtra FYJC CET 2021?
The MSBSHSE declared the Maharashtra SSC result 2021 a few days ago. This year, the board has cancelled the Class 10th examination due to a pandemic. The results were prepared based on the internal assessment. Hence, the board has decided to conduct the Common Entrance Test (CET) for facilitating students to Class 11 admission. Students should note that the Maharashtra FYJC CET 2021 is optional. However, priority would be given to candidates who have a CET score.
Maharashtra FYJC CET 2021 Application Form
- Interested candidates should visit the official portal to complete the online registration process at www.cet.mh-ssc.ac.in.
- One should select Board Type – Maharashtra State Board Students (Appeared in 2021 Exam) or Maharashtra State Board Students (Other Than 2021 Exam) or Other Board
- Students who have appeared for Maharashtra Board should enter their seat number and mother name.
- Other Board students need to fill the details and pay the examination fee.
Maharashtra FYJC CET 2021 Application Fee
There is no application fee for those students who have registered for the Maharashtra SSC board exams. Candidates who appeared from other boards and aspiring to participate in Maharashtra FYJC CET 2021 exam have to pay Rs 170 to register.
Maharashtra FYJC CET 2021 Pattern
As per the reports, the Maharashtra FYJC Common Entrance Test 2021 will be conducted based on the SSC syllabus. The questions will be in the multiple-choice format. It consists of a total of 100 marks. However, students should remember that the test is optional.
Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad has shared important information regarding the Maharashtra CET 2021 exam pattern. The Maharashtra FYJC CET question paper will be of 100 marks based on the Class 10th syllabus. The question paper will have equal weightage to the subjects of English, Maths, Science & Social Sciences. For details such as the syllabus, candidates are advised to refer to the official website.

The Maharashtra Class 11th admissions will be based on merit in FYJC CET 2021. The admission process for class 11th will be held across zone wise, i.e. for Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Amravati, Nashik and Aurangabad. With Maharashtra FYJC CET 2021 scorecard, students can seek admission to all recognized Junior Colleges across the state.
