What’s new for the 2023 Jaguar XF?
The XF marks 2023 with minor tweaks, including newly standard adaptive cruise control and widespread availability of Amazon Alexa integration.
This sedan continues to wear svelte lines not unlike the nameplate’s inaugural year back in 2008. While it was revamped for 2016, its low-slung shape stuck around. Up front, cat-like headlights surround a large, ovoid grille, while de rigeur vents carved into the front bumper add a hint of sportiness.
The XF is fresher inside, though, with a clean, simple design that samples a high-quality parts bin shared with Land Rover. A bright, unusually sharp 11.4-inch touchscreen takes center stage.
Underhood, the XF makes use of a 2.0-liter turbo-4 tuned for 246 or 296 hp. Most of our seat time has been in the higher-output version, which delivers brisk acceleration and works well with the 8-speed automatic transmission. Agile but comfortable, the XF makes an ideal daily driver and road-trip machine. It’s not as adept at slicing down a race track as, say, a BMW M5, but most of us don’t live on race tracks.
At 28 mpg combined, the XF is reasonably easy to justify by luxury car standards, too.
Its sleek cabin matches its high price tag, though taller riders may lament the lack of head room. With a nearly 18 cubic-foot trunk, though, the XF is more practical than some competitors.
This model hasn’t been crashed by either the NHTSA or the IIHS, though its full complement of collision-avoidance and driver-assistance tech impresses.
How much does the 2023 Jaguar XF cost?
The XF starts at $48,275 in P250 S guise, which buys synthetic leather upholstery, an 11.4-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a 12-speaker Meridian audio system, and power-adjustable front seats.
The P300 R-Dynamic trim level costs $5,200 more, and it adds another 50 hp plus 19-inch wheels and a few other bits, including all-wheel drive.
